Loyal Dog Club is excited to welcome Emily to our Club and crown her our October Walker of the Month! She is our newest staff member and she has already warmed over your pets and your hearts with her friendly attitude and epic photography skills! Now that you’ve seen her work, we want to help you get to know her a little bit better.

When we first interviewed Emily, it was immediately clear how much she loves dogs – and ALL animals!! She introduced us right away to her sweet pointer Pitbull mix, Daisy, who is a rescue doggy and also Emily’s best friend! Also fighting for her attention are her three rats – yes, you read that right, rats! 🐀 Their names are Luna, Artemis, & Pluto. All together, the five of them are a happy little fam.

Emily lives in Detroit now but grew up in Macomb, close to the Shelby Township/Clinton Township areas. When I asked her what that was like, she told me, “at one point we had 4 dogs, a bird, a rabbit, a chinchilla, a lizard, fish, and frogs.” It’s clear that Emily’s heart can hold love for any creature and always has!

Emily’s favorite part of working with LDC so far is meeting and getting to know all of your pets and the excitement that YOU get from seeing them happy! She loves having mini puparazzi shoots with your pets and making you smile with those photos! She has been walking dogs for about 11 years and also has experience working in a doggy daycare/boarding facility, a pet store, and an animal hospital. It’s hard not to imagine little birdies doing her hair every morning!!
