Meet Aubrey! 👋🏻 She’s basically magical, and I’m here to tell you all of the reasons why! She started with LDC in May and she’s already shown she is a NATURAL! So it’s time to find out a bit more about the gal your pups have so easily fallen in love with! 🥰

Aubrey grew up in Metro-Detroit, specifically in Warren, where she went to Warren Mott High School. (Sidenote: This was my high school’s rival, and I don’t even care, Aubrey is THAT awesome!) These days, you can find her attending Michigan State University up in Lansing studying film. 🎥 Yeah, that’s right…she’s leaving us at the end of August. But let’s not focus on that now…😥
When I asked Aubrey about whether or not she has pets now, or has ever had any, she explained, “I have had many pets throughout my childhood. I wanted a dog for as long as I could remember but my mom started me out with hamsters so I could learn to take care of a living thing. Eventually my family got a dog and I was so happy. I’ve also had a mouse, two cats, and a rabbit.” I think it’s safe to say she is a well-rounded animal lover! 🐕

So, why a job with Loyal Dog Club (besides the obvious, of course)? “I wanted a job that would get me out of the house as I’ve been stuck in it for a year, like everyone else, and when I saw this job I thought it was perfect. I would get to hang with dogs and it would require me to be outside, what more could a girl want?” We don’t KNOW what more a gal (or guy!) could want, Aubrey! We also tend to think that getting paid to hang out with your precious pups is a fabulous gig! 🐶 She goes on to say, “My favorite part about being a dog walker is getting to learn all of the dogs’ different personalities. As I get to see them more and learn more about them I begin to look forward to seeing them and all of their little quirks.” Have you seen the pics of Aubrey with your dogs? It’s not all Dog Days for Aubrey, though.😎 She’s taking full advantage of her summer off of school by also interning at an Australian based company called Bambuddha Group, that she is enjoying so far! “I am a marketing intern for them so I edit videos and work on social media stuff for them. 💻 Since I am a film major I wanted something that could let me work with video based stuff so this position worked out perfectly. It is definitely not as fun as hanging out with dogs all day though!” She said it, I didn’t! 😜

Aubrey is such a hard worker I had to ask her – what does she do outside of work!? What are her hobbies when she’s not earning that green? 🤑 “My biggest hobby is obviously film but unfortunately I have sort of fallen off of it as that is all I have done for the past year so I want to do more engaging activities. I love hanging out with my best friends that I have known since middle school and going out on the town (where it is safe to do so). I also hang out with my brother and go on a walk with him almost every night.” 🚶🏻♀️

Sadly for us (and your doggos!), Aubrey is heading back to Lansing at the end of August to finish up school. 👩🏻🎓 She is projected to graduate in May 2022 and has big plans on the horizon after that! “I am going to graduate in May 2022 so I am trying to figure out what I am going to do after. Right now I am looking at a year long internship at the Met in their digital department. If I get that then I would have a guaranteed job for a year and a chance to see a state that I have never seen before. Plus an internship at the Met would be amazing in and of itself. I also hope to go on a trip maybe this year or next year. My friends and I are thinking about taking a trip to Las Vegas next year as a little graduation gift to ourselves.” 🃏🥳
