To kick of the year (and our first ever walker of the month), we are excited to announce that January’s Walker of the Month is Galina!

Galina started working in winter 2018, which ended up being around the same time as a polar vortex. We always struggle hiring in the winter for obvious reasons… who wants to walk in the freezing cold all day? But Galina didn’t even flinch when we told her that we still walk when it’s cold. So already, she seemed pretty cool (no pun intended). Galina’s interview ended up being over an hour and when it ended, we felt like we hit the jackpot.

We’ve gotten to learn so much about Galina over the last few years. In addition to working with LDC, she is also in school to be a vet tech. Her passion for animals translates in so many different areas of her life and we are so grateful for the work she does with us.

If you’ve had the chance to meet Galina, then you know firsthand how much she loves your dogs. But the side of Galina that you don’t get to see is the side that our team gets to see every day. Galina is always willing to go above and beyond and her work ethic is second to none. I can’t tell you how many times she’s agreed to work more hours when we’ve been in a bind. Not to mention that she lives about an hour away from our service area and still makes it to work, rain, snow, or shine. She is such an important part of the team and we don’t know what we’d do without her!
