Joel doing what he loves to do – walkin’ a pup in the sunshine!

Ok, fine, we admit it – we took a break in January from celebrating a walker of the month. To be quite honest, we just wanted to make sure a new year was REAL before we trampled into it all bright eyed and bushy tailed. You saw what happened when we did that with 2020, right? ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€

But it’s almost halfway through February and we can confirm – we are still here and this year is happening! So, in a bit of an overdue celebration, we are introducing our February walker of the month – Joel! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

We don’t want to brag (yes we do) but Joel is a man of many talents! ๐Ÿคฉ Prior to COVID he was working out his giant heart muscle with a job at an after school program in Plymouth where he helped tutor kids and lead enrichment activities for them. During quarantine he has continued to play drums ๐Ÿฅ and piano ๐ŸŽน with friends virtually, a fill-in for the Ann Arbor-based band he was in for years, the Finer Things.

Joel has been with Loyal Dog Club since September of 2019 but his love for animals started long before then! He grew up in Metro Detroit in Canton, and has had a total of three dogs and two cats in his life! His family even dubbed him the go-to pet sitter thanks to his love for animals and his ability to connect with them.ย  ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜ธ

Joel doesn’t discriminate – dogs and cats get love! ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿˆ

One of Joel’s most rewarding experiences has been working summers at a day camp/farm in Canton where he was able to enjoy seeing children and animals interacting! ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿท๐Ÿฐ Experiencing kids learning to take care of and relate to animals at such a young age warmed his heart and set him on the path that led him right to Loyal Dog Club – and your front door!

These days, Joel gets his animal fix from his roommate’s Boxer/Pitt mix named Dozer who he walks and helped train, his parents’ dog and cat who he still visits as much as he can, and YOUR pups of course! ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿพย  We are so grateful to have Joel a part of the LDC team – and we hope you all look forward to him seeing your dogs as much as he does!
