Lindsey and her husband Zach snuggling their love-pup Simon!

As the snow seems to be drifting into the past and the sunshine is poking out of the clouds 🌀, what better way to usher in Spring than to highlight a new walker of the month – Lindsey B! The term “new” is used loosely, though, because this lovely lady has been a part of the Loyal Dog Club Crew since all the way back in 2018! That’s right, even though she works part time with us, she has been leaving her imprint on your pups lives for 3 and a half years!

But I guess we can talk about her life before LDC, if we must! Lindsey grew up in East Lansing, which means she bleeds green. Not LITERALLY, that I know of, but she sure does have a deep and passionate love for Michigan State University! And with good reason – she earned her Bachelors there and also met her now-hubby, Zach! The two are such GO GREEN! peas in a pod that they even worked their love for MSU into their wedding vows! (Cue the collective AWWWWWWWWWWWWW!)

So how did we get lucky enough for Lindsey to land here? She decided to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Wayne State University, and that’s how she got connected with Catherine and started walking for LDC (back before it was even called Loyal Dog Club!). We could not be happier that this is how life panned out for Lindsey – and for us!

These days you can find Lindsey as a full time Physical Therapist with Team Rehabilitation, and she is about to start a new gig as an Anatomy professor at Wayne State so she can help pave the way for future Physical Therapists! With all she has going on, she keeps working with LDC because “being outside, being active, and spending time with doggos was basically the perfect match for me as a part time job!”

Three years ago, Lindsey & Zach (FINALLY!!!) adopted their first dog, Simon. Mr. Simon had a long life of abuse and neglect including ten months hard time in a shelter before Lindsey & Zach welcomed him into their home and made him their FURever family! Because of his past, Simon takes time to warm up to men or other dogs, so he’s been a studious little student at Sit Means Sit dog training school! Simon is such a charmer that he even has a little puppy love situation going on – he met his girlfriend Laila in class!

What big eyes you have, Simon! πŸ‘€

LDC could not be more lucky than to have someone like Lindsey B on our team! Her huge heart makes her a natural at the role, and we have yet to meet a dog that didn’t fall in love with her right off! To quote Lindsey herself, “It’s amazing how much love these pups have to give and how much they can learn if you are patient and willing to properly communicate with them. We don’t deserve them, but I sure will soak up every bit of love I can!”
